Surveily is an EU-native, edge-first alternative to Protex AI for industrial sites in Europe and the UK.Both put compute at the edge and pick up the same hazards. Surveily runs on a GPU server the customer owns, keeps non-event raw video off disk and stays a safety platform. Protex AI runs on its own branded appliance and sends encrypted event clips and metadata to its cloud. Its platform now covers operations as well as safety.
The two platforms detect the same things. What differs is whose box it runs on, what crosses the site boundary, and what the system is allowed to look at.
Surveily is software only and is able to run on roughly 95% of existing digital camera infrastructure - no need to replace or expand your own security. Surveily works on a standard GPU server you can procure at round 600 EUR per camera as a one-time purchase. It stays yours if you stop paying us.
Protex AI is built around its own branded appliance, which belongs to the vendor and which you need to host and swap on every new site.
Video is analysed in working memory on local servers inside your network, and raw footage not attached to an event never reaches disk. The on-premises deployment runs with no egress. It can be air-gapped, with updates on a schedule your IT agrees on. Any data labelling is performed by our own team in the EU, and anonymization is the standard.
Protex AI anonymizes the footage but streams the clips and metadata up to its cloud. If you have any privacy and security concerns Surveily is the better choice.
Surveily looks for missing PPE, vehicle-pedestrian interactions, restricted zones, unsafe behaviours, housekeeping, smoke and fire. Throughput, cycle time and individual output aren't measured. No person can be identified and no worker is scored. Surveily raises safety alerts to let your team decide what to do, and whether to stop the line.
Protex AI positions itself as site intelligence, with modules for facility flow, operational state and process compliance. Such monitoring may raise some issues with the DPOs in EU.
