Surveily is an EU-native, edge-first alternative to Voxel for industrial sites in Europe and the UK.Both spot missing PPE, vehicle-pedestrian conflicts and restricted-zone entries on cameras a plant already has. Surveily runs detection on a GPU server the customer buys and owns, keeps only video tied to an event and contracts from inside the EU. Voxel is US-domiciled and cloud-first. Its appliance comes inside the subscription, and event video sits in its cloud under a default retention period.
Both platforms pick up the same hazards. What differs is whether you own the box underneath them or rent it, and where the video ends up.
Surveily analyses video in working memory on local servers, provided by us at round 600 EUR per camera as a one-time reference. That server stays on your books, still doing useful work the day you stop paying us.
Voxel is cloud-first. So your data leaves the site.
Surveily never retains the raw footage without an event and video anonymization is the default. There is no data storage retention window to negotiate and no archive held on Surveily's infrastructure. Deployment can be air-gapped with updates delivered on a pre-agreed schedule.
With Voxel event video are retained for a period of time, and anonymization is applied only on request. If you're concerned about privacy, Surveily is the way to go.
Surveily is EU-domiciled with EU data residency. Engineering, AI training, and data operations are all done in Europe. You remain the Data Controller and Surveily is the Processor, and our own staff do the labelling on anonymized footage, so the DPO isn't chasing a subprocessor. Biometrics aren't used in any configuration.
Voxel is a US company - that might bring more issues with the DPO, legal team, and concerns about security,

Detection runs on servers inside your own network, and raw video not attached to an event is never written to disk in any deployment model. On-premises, nothing leaves the site. In the hybrid models the only things crossing the boundary are anonymised event metadata and clips with faces already blurred.
The on-premises deployment can be fully air-gapped, with updates delivered on a schedule you agree. The material that keeps your models accurate, selected frames and short clips tied to your team's feedback, is anonymised before it moves, handled under terms your InfoSec agrees, and labelled by our own team inside the EU.
No, in any configuration and on any market. That means no facial recognition, no biometric identification, no emotion recognition, no worker scoring. De-identification is applied by default before anything is stored or displayed. A live feed naturally contains identifiable people before masking happens, which is why the masking sits in the architecture rather than in a policy document.
